Observations & Corrective Actions

28: 3460 (B) 28 OUT 3460 A cup filled with multiple different medical pills or capsules was observed sitting between the hand sink and the disposable plates that already had some food for the toddlers on them. Also, packages of medicine were observed commingled in the drawer beside the black fridge / freeze combo where the food thermometer and measuring cups / spoons are stored.
Corrective Actions: Correction: All personal care items, medicines, and first aid supplies must be stored in such a way to prevent potential contamination of food, food contact items, equipment, utensils, linens, single-service and single-use articles. Discussed how dangerous this could be if a vitamin or medicine got into a child's food. **CORRECTED during inspection by manager moving the personal medical items**

40: 200 40 OUT 200 CORRECTED The sole food handler was observed with a watch on one arm and several bracelets on the other arm at the wrist.
Corrective Actions: Correction: Inspector spoke to the cook about removing this jewelry to ensure you can properly wash your hands and jewelry does not dangle or touch ready-to-eat foods. Except for a plain ring, such as a wedding band, while preparing food, food employees shall not wear jewelry on their arms and hands.
