Prepackaged non-TCS (time/temp for safety) foods can still be sold -- such as rice treats, fruit rolls ups, chips, canned / bottled beverages, etc.
I visited this location for a pre-opening inspection of the concession stand at the Miller Park Pool. There is no air gap under the three-compartment sink. Please ensure this is fixed so that there is at least an one (1) inch break OR air break twice the diameter of the water supply inlet - 2200. (There needs to be an air gap) Management is looking into how to address this.
The VDH food permit can be issued for this facility to serve food once the air gap issue is addressed. Also, please remember to have a vomiting and diarrhea clean up written procedures and kit on site.
This location has: sanitizer; sanitizer test strips; a metal stem probe thermometer; thermometers in the cold holding /unit; hot water was found to be 103 F at a hand sink; hot water was 103 F at the three-compartment sink (should be 110F); there is no air gap under the three-compartment; lighting was shielded throughout the kitchen
Most food preparation such as cooking/reheating & most dishwashing will occur in the permitted city school kitchens. Discussed food security and ensuring non-food staff cannot access the concession stand when it is closed.
Reviewed the following: employee health policy -- facility has copies of form 1-B that can be signed by food staff; hand washing procedures / policy ; cold holding foods (41 F -) ; hot holding foods (135 F +) ; hair restraints.
