47: 0960 (1) Some parts of the Hobart shredder are starting to get significant crevices and other wear on both the metal and plastic parts that come into contact with food.
Corrective Actions: Multiuse food-contact surfaces shall be: 1) smooth, 2) free of breaks, open seams, cracks, chips, inclusions, pits, and similar imperfections, 3) free of sharp integral angles, corners, and crevices, 4) finished to have smooth welds and joints, and 5) accessible for cleaning and inspection. Correct within 90 days and assess other equipment for similar conditions/replacements/repairs as needed.

Additional Comments

School is out, but this facility is preparing meals for Summer Feeding at local community centers including: Diamond Hill, Jefferson Park, Yoder, Daniels Hill, College Hill, Fairview, as well as Heart to Heart and Summer Scholars (@ Linkhorne).
