16: 1770 (A) Observed that the long mixing paddle attached to drill to make relish was still dirty to sight and touch with old food particles encrusted. The mixing paddle is designed for mixing drywall, grout, and mortar
Corrective Actions: Employees are actively trying to remove the encrusted food particles off mixing paddle. If unable to remove the food particles, the paddle must be replaced. Food contact surfaces shall be clean and free from internal angles, corners, and crevices to prevent build-up.

47: 0960 (1) Observed a Marshalltown USA drywall and plastering masher with chipping paint and a wooden handle stored on a shelf located near the walk-in fridge. Per discussion with manager, masher is used to smash ready-to-eat chili.
Corrective Actions: Discussed with manager that the Marshalltown USA masher was not a smooth and cleanable surface. The chipping paint and wooden handle are possible contamination factors. After discussion, manager removed masher to prevent employees from using it. Manager is actively looking for a cleanable food utensil to replace the Marshalltown USA masher.
