Establishment was called to investigate complaint submitted 10/11/23 of refused access due to having service animal. Complainant did not state date at which incident occurred.

After speaking with person in charge, it was stated that she was not present during incident. However, she stated Nashville Ink's policy is to allow service animals into the lobby of establishment but keep them separated from work areas to maintain a sterile environment. Person in charge was advised that Tennessee tattoo code language states service animals for deaf and blind persons are allowed into establishment and that ADA federal regulations have jurisdiction over the matter of service animals.

Supporting documents (ADA service animal documents and state tattoo regulations) were sent to person in charge for clarification.
