Received a call regarding a customer staying in room 113 on Friday, 5/20/22 and Saturday, 5/21/22. This customer observed bed bugs, a brown recluse, and stepped on a needle on the floor. Customer also stated there were holes in floor, which caused them to fear for their safety.
Upon inspection, PIC stated the room had been recently sprayed by a pest control yesterday. He will send me a copy of the invoice. I observed dead bed bugs on the box spring mattress. See attached photo. I did not observe any bed bugs within the pillow cases, however, pillows were excessively stained. I observed a red substance on the ceiling above the bed. The wall behind the toilet has been partially ripped out. See attached photos. I did not observe any needles or spiders. Room to the right, 114, was occupied and the room to the left, 112, is a storage room.
The room is to remain closed until an inspector from this department comes back out for a follow-up inspection to verify no bed bugs are present.
